A stitcher's guide to Pittsford, Fairport & Victor

Come for the shop, stay for the afternoon. Our corner of Upstate New York grew up along the Erie Canal — working mills, towpath walks and villages full of good places to eat between projects.

These are the spots we send our own customers to, whether you are here for a class, a retreat weekend, or just a morning of browsing.

One house, four workshops

Hobby House was founded from a love of needlework — and grew into four specialty shops under one roof: Needleworks, Quilt Works, Wool Works and Needlepoint. You will find us in Victor, NY, open seven days a week, with classes, retreats and a community of makers we are proud to stitch alongside.

Teach little hands a lifelong craft

Some of our best stitchers first picked up a needle beside a grandparent. Our beginner kits and kid-friendly projects are made for exactly that afternoon — simple enough for small hands, rewarding enough that the grown-ups stay too.
