Merry Wind Farm | Hannah Thompson Work 1847

Hannah Thompson Work 1847 is a fine example of a mid 19th century spot motif sampler. She tells us that she finished her sampler at the age of 12. The reproduction has been stitched on 36 count Angel Hair linen from Weeks Dye Works. The entire sampler is worked using cross stitch over two threads of linen with one strand of floss. Threads used are Gentle Arts, Cidermill Brown, Sage, Woodrose, Cornhusk, Lambswool, Cherry Wine, Wood Smoke, and DMC 502, 3787, 371, 822, and 310.

STITCH COUNT IS 160 (w) x 224 (h). The finished size on 36 count linen is 9 x 12.5.
