Victorian Gardens | Two-Day Class with Kellie Beckwith and Karen Yaffe

Join Hobby House Quilt Works and Hobby House Wool Works as we welcome Kellie Beckwith of Tulip Cottage Quilts and Karen Yaffe of KL Designs for this two-day class which combines quilt piecing with wool applique to create a unique table runner that offers attendees the best of both worlds! 

Kellie will break down the different units in two variations of star blocks to assemble the quilt, focusing on piecing accuracy. In class you will be using the Studio 180 Wing Clipper I and Tucker Trimmer I rulers (or your preferred trim down rulers) to learn the Four at a Time Flying Geese method and Half Square Triangle to get perfect units every time!

Karen will be teaching her favorite wool applique techniques, along with the embroidery stitches she uses for embellishment in the runner. The kit includes the pattern, as well as the fabric for the top, back, and binding of the table runner from the newly released fabric line, Cottage Lace, by Kellie Beckwith for Marcus Fabrics. The kit also includes the Valdani threads, wools, woven fusible and a wool applique needle for the wool applique embellishment.

The class fee includes two days of instruction with Kellie and Karen, the complete kit as described above, lunches on Saturday and Sunday, and event swag. Coffee, soda and water will be available for attendees during the class hours.

In the event that a registrant needs to cancel, you will be reimbursed if we can fill your seat with a new attendee minus a $50 administrative fee.
