The Wishing Thorn | Selina Ellis Sampler 1860s

Selina Ellis is another Welsh sampler. As with all Welsh samplers, it exudes cheerfulness and bright colors. The faded front is quite different from the bright back. The sampler is charted in the back colors. The model was stitched on 36 count Milk & Honey by FOAW with Vikki Clayton Silks. The original sampler measures 24 by 24 inches. Stitched Area: 381 stitches wide by 381 high.
