Ophelia's Fox is the first design in a set, created using a classic Arts & Crafts colour pallet of autumnal shades of sage greens, soft ochre yellows, fawns and browns, complemented by added silk highlights in a slightly brighter hue.

The stitches are designed for pleasure, as designs such as this were usually created for the amateur embroiderer who enjoyed her craft, rather than a speedy professional stitcher.

Equally attractive as a cushion, stool top or a framed picture, Ophelia's Fox is part of a collection of creatures in our Aesop's Fables Mirror Frame design, which became the Aesop's Fables Animals collection.
