Sajou | Mother of Pearl S Motif 4" Embroidery Scissors

This pair of embroidery scissors reproduces the Sajou "S". The finger rings are beautifully decorated with a festoon detail and the handles are made from imitation mother of pearl, a material which was often used in the past for delicate sewing items.

The pompom on these scissors has a small medallion with a hollowed out "S" in the same material as the scissors.

The pairing marks are an important detail which enables judgement of the quality of the pair of scissors. This is the number on the interior of each of the blades. This number indicates that both parts have been paired together fro the first assemblage to make a perfect match. After the first fitting, the scissors are taken apart and each shear undergoes the different processing operations before being reassembled and finished.
