Retors du Nord is French for "twisted thread from the North," the traditional home of the French textile industry. This 100% cotton thread is a 4-ply embroidery floss whose plies can be easily separated, making it ideal for almost any type of embroidery or cross-stitch. Each card has approximately 22 yards (20 meters) of thread. A large pattern chart included to embroider a marvelous vintage style color chart. A work of art worthy of its place in the home of all embroiderers.

The cover and interior are decorated with a large round Retors du Nord label (15.5 cm diameter).

For ecological reasons, Retors du Nord thread is not colourfast. However, it can be washed up to 40° - just be careful never to use boiling water or bleach.
