New Lands, Old Traditions - A Cross Stitch Retreat
PRESENTED BY:

HOSTED BY:
Hobby House Needleworks
OVERVIEW:
At this Retreat, we will be exploring the needlework traditions women carried with them when they journeyed to new lands. Among their possessions were the familiar tools of domestic life—needles, thread, cloth, and treasured patterns. With these simple things, old traditions took root in new lands.
Those traditions were carried from mother to daughter, shared among neighbors and communities, and adapted to new surroundings. Familiar stitches connected women to the homes and families they had left behind, while the needlework they created became part of the story of the places they now called home.
New Lands, Old Traditions is a cross stitch retreat celebrating that remarkable journey—and the enduring traditions that continue to connect stitchers across generations.
Set among the beautiful vineyards of Casa Larga, the weekend will bring together history, needlework, friendship, wonderful food, special presentations, and, of course, plenty of time to stitch.
