Charlotte’s monochrome sampler has been reproduced using Soie 100.3 overdyed by Painter’s Threads to the shade Waterhouse. We are delighted with the results. Although hard to capture through the lens of a camera, Waterhouse gives depth and movement to the sampler.
An alternative solid silk would be Soie 100.3 #774 for a slightly mellowed black. You might prefer to stitch with a solid black for a bolder look.
On 28ct linen you will require approximately 125 yards of thread (double if using two strands).
On 32ct linen you will require approximately 115 yards of thread (double if using two strands).
On 36ct linen you will require approximately 95 yards of thread (double if using two strands).
On 40ct linen you will require approximately 85 yards of thread.
On 46ct linen you will require approximately 80 yards of thread.
On 56ct linen you will require approximately 60 yards of thread.
